VF39 results
After a superb round of entries, the results of VF39 are now online. Congratulations to our winner - bravo! The top three scores are very tightly matched, with some even tighter scores in the middle section. Check it out - less than three points between 7th and 11th positions, and barely anything between 5th and 6th. Top to bottom, I can look at each VF39 entry and find something to say "that was good stuff!", and that's what makes our competition fun.
Thanks to everyone who entered and once again, to all of the supporters of VF in the kitng community. Your participation, help, and sponsorship is much appreciated. The VF39 prize draw will follow soon; stay tuned to the Facebook group.
VF39 entries are up!
VF39 entries have closed and we have a wonderful set of 17 videos to feast our eyes on! A superb variety of style and execution, with some new faces, and a few faces from VF rounds gone by. Head on over to the current round page and set aside 30 minutes of quality time to view the YouTube playlist. Which entries were your favourites and why? Let's discuss on the Facebook group.
Entrants, remember to download the VF39 Score Sheet and return it via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Some entries have instances of the kite going out of frame, and at least one begins without both kite wingtips on the ground, but there is nothing calculated or worthy of disqualification. You are free to penalise your scores for rule infringements, as you see fit. I encourage scorers to be lenient towards VF newcomers and sympathetic to fliers who faced challenging conditions. Consider the whole situation in applying penalties, but ultimately it is your decision.
Thanks to everyone who entered VF39 - it's your participation and community spirit that makes our competition great!

VF38 results
All score sheets have been submitted and the scores are now published! Congratulations to our round winner who submitted a superb freestyle run, jam packed full of flowing combos and style.
There was some hot competition in the top half of the placings, with less than 10 points (normalised score) between the first and sixth place getters. Some more close competition in the second half of the rankings, and it's great to see some new faces throwing their hat into the ring.
Sincere thanks to everyone who entered, and all who've helped produce an amazing prize pool. Some of you were flying in very challenging conditions, but you didn't let that hold you back from entering. Your effort is acknowledged and appreciated - good stuff!

This round, there are some instances of the kite going out-of-frame, however nothing of obvious concern, re: edits. As always, it is up to the scorer's discretion to penalise rule infringements as they see appropriate. In your penalisation, please consider whether the entrant is a seasoned VF competitor or a first-time entrant. Leniency for new entrants is advised, but it's ultimately your decision.
Thanks to everyone who entered - good luck!

This round marks a major change in the way that VF video entries are submitted. We are moving away from direct uploads with a 30MB size limit, and instead asking entrants to upload their video to YouTube with the visibility set to Unlisted. Visit the How to enter page for more details. Now is also a great time to also revisit the Competition rules, Hints and tips, and FAQ pages since they've all been revised to cover submission process changes.
Finally, sincere thanks to our talented artist Rufus for his superb VF38 promotional art!
