VF30 - Dirty Thirty!

The 30th anniversary of Virtual Freestyle is upon us!

VF29 results released

The results of VF29 are now available!  Congratulations to all of those who entered - a fine effort all round and some of the best flying VF has seen. Special congratulations to our winner this round Thorsten Axmann - a superb video!

Round 29 open

Round 29 is now open for entries!  Check out the current round page for details.

We're off to a great start with prize donations, with Level One kites (via Frazer Worley) donating a Level One Gentleman kite in green. Other prizes are in the works too, however we need small donations to cover the cost of postage. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. Important: This round introduces a new way of submitting entries - instead of emailing videos to the VF organiser, entries should instead be submitted using the online form on the current round page. This form will be visible for the entry phase of the round, after which time it will be automatically hidden. The form accepts video files of up to 27.5MB (25MB + 10% leeway); please use a recoding tool such as HandBrake if your video exceeds this limit.

 

New management

Hi everyone,

Adrian Bickerstaffe here.  Now that VF28 finished, I thought it would be nice to introduce myself as the new organiser of the competition. I've been working with VF for a little while now, but mostly lurking in the background as the webmaster. 

It's time to be a bit more visible and take over from the absolutely excellent effort that Yan has contributed over the years. I'd like to thank Yan again for promoting VF so well and helping it to grow into new territories - it's really great to see entrants from all over the globe, and witness each individual's growth as a flier.

You might have to go easy on me and be patient for the first round or two - it's all quite new to me, so I'm sure to have a batch of questions for Yan once things ramp up!  All I can say is that I'll do the best job I can. 

At the moment, it looks like the next round will open in May, with entries closing in June. Stay tuned...
